Computer Breakage... and something else...

Sat Oct 4, 2008, 8:55 AM
Hey everyone:

Sorry I haven't been around a lot, my computer broke and I had to build a new one from scratch >.> Anyway, school is always a bitch and I'm getting a divorce. Long story, doesn't need to be here on dA, and I've already dredged enough shit on myself. If you wanna know, note me or whatnot. But yeah, just wanted to check in.

Summertime and online class mayhem

Fri Jun 6, 2008, 6:59 PM
Yeah, online classes I have found suck big time. The problem is there's 50+ students and instructors apparently do not have any clue on how to best manage them. Their solution? Stick everyone into groups and hope to God it works out for the best. I'm currently the group leader in my marketing class and catching up in my other two. Let me just say that it's a real PITA trying to manage all of this. Assignments are stacked on top of each other.

In other news...

We've moved to Sylva into a semi-nice (prefab) house off of the highway with Mike and Katelan. Still working hard to graduate on time and such, also trying to finish RS 2. I've also started writing a novel--I'll try to post a synopsis once I get more into it. As far as personal projects go, I'm now working on some forum software as well as my blog software. Blog software should be ready this winter.

I hope everyone finds themselves well. Will post more updates as they happen.

Hooray.

Summer.

Yeah, I wished today that the month of April never existed. Oh well, fuck it.

Hope everyone has been well. I still have a pulse and I'm still kicking. Just too much stuff to do and not enough time to do it.

How's everyone been?

Almost there

I just finished my schedule for the Summer/Fall semesters. I'm almost done with my BSBA in Information Systems and am still plowing through my BS in Computer Science.

Education is a lot of hard work!

In other news, I've been hard at work on some of my software (blog, portal, site). My new blog software will be called SoapBox, since that's what I usually get on when I start blogging. You will be able to find my blog at rain-song.com in the coming months.

Rain Song II is going to be coming to an end this summer (I pray to God that it will). If you've been reading it, Aeris has just now resurfaced from the Lifestream. Beatrix, still showing that there is still a spark of sanity left in her, requested that she be taken out of her misery and thus out of Jenova's control. Aeris is now in Mideel. By virtue of fate, they'll have to make their way through Wutai in order to get back to Rocket Town to launch the rocket (all airspace has been declared off limits over the major continents as they scramble to forge their own plan to get rid of Meteor when it's summoned).

While we're on the topic, I've been thinking about Aeris' role in the third main installment (this is in the sense that I continue the RS series through episodes involving the major stories). I haven't decided whether I want to make her a professor of Anthropology or a member in law enforcement--about ten years passed since RS 2. I just don't know yet, but we shall see.

I hope everyone finds themselves well. And, as always, keep checking here for updates. I'll try to post some screenshots of what I've spent the last six months developing later.

Cheers!

Here's me doing Breaking Benjamin's "Sooner or Later" from the album "We Are Not Alone."

Horrible, I know.
